[ About Nara Mini-Tour ]
- Todaiji Temple
- Todaiji Temple is a complex of buildings that includes the world's largest wooden structure, the 48m (157 ft)-high Daibutsu-den, built in 743, which houses the 15m (49 ft) gilt bronze Daibutsu (Great Buddha), cast in 749, also the largest of its kind in the world.
We will be allowed to go up on the dais and touch the Great Buddha, which the public are not permitted to do.

- OH-CHAMORI (Grand Tea Ceremony) at Saidaiji Temple
- This is a grand tea ceremony which has been conducted since the Kamakura Period. This ceremony is said to have originated when the high-ranking priest of Saidaiji Temple offered powdered tea to the deity of a local shrine. With a beautiful rug spread in a spacious room, the tea ceremony is prepared for guests, and priests of the temple offer tea to them after making it in an extremely large tea bowl. It is usually performed on only the 15th of January and the second Sunday of October every year. However, during our congress, we will be able to enjoy the OH-CHAMORI experience provided just for us.

- Kofukuji National Treasure Museum
- Kofukuji National Treasure Museum was built in concrete in 1959 to provide a safe home for the various 6th Century and later Buddhist works of art belonging to Kofukuji Temple. Many of these priceless pieces are designated National Treasures or Important Cultural Properties.
We will be given the chance to see many national treasures as we have reserved this museum for ourselves.
